We leave from the Plaza de San Blas at 7 am towards the south valley, we will pass through different towns on our route until we reach the 4 lagoons, arrival time after 2 hours. Arriving we will take the tour of these beautiful 4 lagoons by optional bicycle.

The Circuit of the Four Lagoons is located in the province of Acomayo, in the district of Pomacanchi. A tourist circuit has been created that allows you to appreciate the four lagoons. This initiative is thanks to the joint effort of some 40 communities in the area, which offer guiding, lodging and food services.

The Pomacanchi lagoon

From the town of Pomacanchi, we travel 2.5 km (10 minutes by car) further to the first lagoon, also called Pomacanchi, which is located in the upper part of the Vilcanota River. The Pomacanchi lagoon has a maximum depth of 140 meters; Around it there are abundant natural grasses: medicinal species, totora, mirmi, etc. and fish: trout, silversides, huitas, ccarachis, ch'iñis and carps.

The Acopia lagoon

The second is a small lagoon called Acopia, located in the town of the same name. The Acopia lagoon is very populated with birds, here you will see pelicans and wild ducks.

Asnaqocha Lagoon

The third is the Asnaqocha Lagoon (means smelly lagoon) which concentrates abundant algae which, when exposed to the sun's rays, produce a strong smell.

Lagoon of Pampamarca or Tungasuca

The fourth lagoon is the highest in the circuit (3,750 meters above sea level), called Tungasuca or Pampamarca, and is home to a great variety of wildlife such as parihuanas and ducks, due to the abundance of reeds that surround it. The practice of sport fishing is carried out especially in Pampamarca. This lagoon is fresh water.

Cycling time approximately 2 hours. We will have lunch in one of the lagoons, then around 2 in the afternoon, we will continue our journey by bus to the community of Quehue, a community where the last Inka bridge is located, which crosses the Apurimac River, this bridge has been named very recently. as a world heritage site since it shelters the ancestral knowledge of 14 communities.

We will have approximately an hour to explore this place, then we will follow the road to the nearest town on the alternative mountain of colors to have dinner and rest. The next day after breakfast we will continue our route to the colorful mountain of the community of Palccoyo, there our community guide will be waiting for us to show us the natural legacy that the sacred mountains left them.

We can tour it for approximately 2 hours, observing the different natural formations of colorful stones. Our guide will explain to us how they lived with this beautiful natural formation with a view towards the snowy Ausangate and where it is possible to observe the camelids, sisters of the most beautiful alpaca that exists in this place, in their own natural habitat (We are talking about the vicuña, protected species since it is on the list of endangered species).

At the end of our walk we will descend to the nearest town to have lunch a typical meal of the area made with different varieties of potatoes, a meal called pachamanca (there will also be an option for vegetarian food), food on the land.

After enjoying this succulent lunch made in the arms of Mother Earth, we will depart for Cusco, approximate arrival time 6 pm.
