We leave at 6 in the morning from the Plaza de San Blas, heading towards the mountain of colors, after 2 hours we will arrive at a town called Combapata. In this place we will stop for breakfast (Breakfast is not included), then we continue with Our journey to the community of Palccoyo which is located at 4350 meters above sea level, arriving at approximately 10 in the morning at the mountain of 7 colors. The car will leave us on the same mountain, we will not have to walk any more to travel around it for approximately 2 hours to visit and take photos. Our guide will explain how this beautiful natural formation was made and if we are lucky with the weather, we will be part of a ritual for the blessing of Mother Earth towards the Nevado Ausangate tutelary apu (A ritual like our ancestors did and we will feel the energy of the most important god for the Inkas, the Sun God and the Ausangate apu). The highest part of this mountain is 5000 meters above sea level, in this place it is possible to find the wild camelid called VICUÑA in its natural habitat, it is well known for its wool. After the tour in the mountains, we will descend to the town to have lunch of the typical food of the PACHAMANCA mountains, which in Spanish “Olla en la tierra” In this community we will learn about the more than 300 varieties of potatoes. Optional there is also vegetarian food.
After lunch we will rest and around 2:45 we will descend by optional bicycle for two hours in the direction of Combapata, the landscape is unmissable, highly recommended for our adventurous clients.
Then we will get into the van that will take us to Cusco. Approximate arrival time in Cusco, at 7:00 p.m.
