Discovering the Amazon and its people

We leave at 3:30 am from the Plaza de San Blas, heading to the town of Mollepata-Soraypampa, approximately 3 hours of travel time, where we will have breakfast, then we will begin to walk from this town which is located at 3900 meters above sea level. The sea is there, up to the beautiful lagoon called Humantay which is located at 4200 meters above sea level. In this place is the snow-capped mountain that bears the same name as the lagoon and its older brother the Salkantay snow-capped mountain. Walking time 1 hour – 1 hour and a half, then at the place we will have time to get to know it and take the best photos. After visiting this beautiful Andean landscape, we will return to Soraypampa to take the bus.

At 1:00 pm, we will have lunch in Mollepata and after an hour we will continue on our way to the community of Chonta. Arriving at the community at 3 pm to start walking to the condor viewpoint around 4:00 in the afternoon to stay until 5:45 pm, then we will take the return bus at 6:30 to arrive in Cusco at 8:30 pm.
