Departure to Santa María from Cusco, at 7 in the morning. 4 -hour travel time, we arrive there at 12 to visit cocoa and coca leaf crops, after the visit we will have lunch and enlist to make the Inka alternative path, maximum walking time 5 hours. We continue with the walk that runs through a brief section of the original Inca road. This part of the tour is unmissable since we can appreciate an old Inca quite preserved and still used by local settlers.
And then continue the route crossing waterfalls, ríachuelos, fruit plantations and typical tubercles of the area. We can also witness the diverse flora and fauna of the place, different species of exotic birds, in addition to a wide range of orchids and fruit trees of bananas, oranges, avocados, coffee, among others. Remember that we will be in the Amazon jungle eyebrow, and this area has one of the richest areas with biological diversity of the planet. We will arrive around 5 pm to the thermal baths of cocalmayo where we can enjoy a few hours in a medicinal thermos resort. After this relaxing therapy we will be transported to our lodging located in the town of Santa Teresa where we will spend our first night.
Second day:
We will wake up at 5 in the morning to continue the road to the town of Aguas Calientes. After enjoying the landscape and a short break we will descend to a control stall called “hydroelectric”, where we will begin to walk approximately 2 hours, probably the part of the tour with better views and landscapes, enjoying splendid water falls from glaciers, coca plantations and fruits of local settlers, continuing through the train route until reaching the hot waters ‘Machupicchu town’ time of llagada at 8 in the morning. We will leave our things in a place already previously coordinated, we will have breakfast and get ready to climb to Machupicchu. Going up at 9 am approximate bus in 30 minutes. Arriving at 9:30 am to the door.
We can enjoy the guided tour for two hours. Then there is an additional time of an hour to explore this beautiful place. At 1 pm we will have to go down to the town of Aguas Calientes approximate time of 1 hour to descend reaching 2 pm and thus there is time for lunch, at 3 pm we will begin our walk to hydroelectric plant arriving at approximately 5 pm to take our return bus to Cusco. And reach our city at 11 pm
